What to Look for in a Marketing Plan

If you want to sell your home in the Markham area, it is important that you have a plan. You want to use a marketing plan that promotes your home, attracts potential buyers, and uses unique and effective methods. As you work with a Markham real estate agent, here are a few things you should look for in creating and carrying out your marketing plan. 

1. High-Quality Online Listings

Did you know that more than 90% of homebuyers begin their home search online? This means that you need to provide online listings that attract and impress. To do this, you need to spend ample time perfecting your online listing. A few things you should consider include: 

  • Ensure there are sufficient photos that are of high-quality
  • Make your listings SEO friendly
  • Use creative language
  • Provide detailed information

2. Unique Online Features

3. Utilize Your Social Media Channels

While Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are all very common, you want to expand your reach. A great marketing plan will involve numerous websites such as the websites of local newspapers, real estate websites such as realestatevine.ca and realtor.ca, etc. The more sites you share your site on, the farther your reach will be. 

5. Don’t Forget the Basics

When it comes to selling your home, you must have a strong online plan in place but that cannot be all. You also need to include many of the traditional home-selling methods. For example, work with your real estate agent to host open houses. Install a large sign outside of your home, pass out flyers to your neighbours, etc. These are small things but have proven to be successful.
